I Already Roleplay With My Team. Why Isn't It Showing Up on My Calls?

Rehearsal feels like progress. Here is why practice often stays in the practice room, and what changes when the target comes from your own lost moments.

Team roleplay is one of the best habits a sales floor can have. People who practice out loud get more comfortable, faster. So when a closer tells us they roleplay every week and still lose the same calls in the same way, we take it seriously. It is not a discipline problem. It is usually a targeting problem and a checking problem.

Rehearsal rewards what you already do

In a team roleplay, a colleague plays the buyer. They are friendly, they know you, and they tend to raise the objections everyone already expects. You handle them well, because you have handled them before. The session feels productive, and in a narrow sense it is. But it mostly polishes what is already working.

The habit costing you deals is often one you do not notice: talking past a buying signal, answering a price question before you understand it, filling a silence the buyer needed. A colleague playing a generic buyer will rarely recreate the exact moment you lose.

Practice that starts from your own calls

The change that matters is where the target comes from. When it comes from your own recorded calls, from the specific moments where buyers went quiet or pushed back, practice stops being general and starts being about you.

Toți ceilalți

A scenario someone thought of

REPS

The moment your own calls keep losing

Toți ceilalți

A friendly buyer who knows you

REPS

A buyer built from the people you actually sell to

Toți ceilalți

"That felt good" at the end

REPS

A check on the real calls you take afterward

Then check it where it counts

A good practice run is a good sign. It is not proof. The only test of whether a habit changed is the next real call. That is why REPS keeps two scores and never mixes them: one says you can do it in practice, the other says you did it on real calls. Only the second one counts.

Practice feels like progress. Your next real call tells you whether it was.

Keep the team roleplay

None of this means stopping. Team practice builds confidence and shared language, and REPS works alongside it. Bring the target from your own calls into the room, practice that one thing, and then let your real calls tell you whether it held.

Să citești despre asta e pasul unu. REPS rulează mecanismul propriu-zis (dovadă, diagnostic, test, antrenament, verificare, progres) pe apelurile tale reale.
